600k is a relatively small amount of users. So the more people that use it the greater the potential of course. It’s just like any other app use. The more people use it the better the engagement and people will put in time to improve the app as well.

If enough people join Pixelfed it would be a great alternative! There’s a lot of people on it from the EU but I notice there’s not many users from the US on it.

My ADHD has also made a habit of me wanting to move every city/country I visit along with my hobby of collecting vanilla beans. Thankfully I’m moving into year 2 of being in the Netherlands and I have a closet full of vanilla extracts brewing from diff. countries and about 6 fermentation projects.

Can’t wait to roam in the purple fields again in Kootwijk.

Finally got around to making my own mushroom powder. Made with boletus and chanterelles from Lithuania, Shitakes from my trip in Vietnam and dried Morels I foraged in Minnesota a while back.

I’ve never tasted any other Garum before but NomaProject’s Garum is very light,liquidy and not very salty yet has a lot of the umami punch that you’d expect from mushrooms. Next time I won’t be using this for Kimchi again but more for salads and sauces. You can get it from their website for $25.

Today I made my first batch of Vegan Kimchi (1L) using Noma’s Mushroom Garum and 5L of my regular kimchi in my new fermentation box.
