I stopped watching anything Gibson is in or directs a long time ago.

The headline is amusing, but this is an interesting article about social trends and consequences. Also, it is good motivation to initiate gatherings of all sizes and kinds.

I think this is super intriguing. Repurpose dead mall space as a partial solution to the housing crisis. Similar idea to converting unused office space into urban farms. Find positive future use for vacant structures.

You know it's the day before a major holiday when it's 9:30 a.m. and you're the one turning on the lights in the office kitchen and bathroom. Place is a ghost town today.

Part of the AT in Massachusetts was closed due to the Butternut fire, which is still burning two days before Thanksgiving. Over 3,000 acres have burned in November alone.

Rage is their brand identity. Plus, it's just true that millions of people in this country are struggling. If you feel like the powers that be don't care or are making it worse, you get pissed. But some of it is people believing that how we speak to and treat each other doesn't matter anymore.

This is one of those headlines I don't want to spoil by reading the article. I'd rather make up my own details on what is talking and what they might be discussing. Warming oceans? The COP conference? US politics? Thanksgiving plans?

Do I listen to pirate tavern ambiance soundtracks while working at the office? Aye, matey!

We are losing ground and precious time on climate. As always, the most vulnerable will suffer first and the most while the comfortable defend their position in the name of short-term gain.

Ever spontaneously buy a novel with high expectations only to have them dashed by midway through? And then limp your way to the end, turning pages just to get there? Just finished one of those. An award nominee. In one of my favorite sub genres. Sigh. Grumble, grumble.

On to the next book....

Not sure whether this will be observations, poems, reposts with comments, rants, or what. But glad to abandon that other short format platform and try for a brighter future here.
