🏈 Here's an early look at the Saturday forecast in Dallas:

Another toasty day at the Cotton Bowl for OU-Texas.

Today is a FANTASTIC day to get outside! Wonderful Wednesday weather all across Green Country.

Thursday and Friday will be really great too! Afternoons will steadily warm back up, but mornings will stay cool through the end of the week. #okwx

It's not just the mother of all fall cool-downs, but it still feels fantastic today!

The biggest cool-down is occurring near the Oklahoma/Kansas state line where low clouds are hanging in. #okwx

🚧 Sand Springs drivers, some updates today on the State Highway 97 work zone:

- Both directions of State Highway 97 from US-412 to Morrow Rd will be shifting to the new pavement.

- The ramp from State Highway 97 to eastbound US-412 is scheduled to re-open by the end of the day!

Very warm again today, but... is that an actual cold front tomorrow?!? About time!

It'll bring us a noticeable cool-down Tuesday, especially across NE OK and SE KS. SE OK will still be warm.

This cool-down will only last a couple days, but it's still a step in the right fall direction! #okwx

11:30 AM Update: ALL lanes of the Turner Turnpike between Sapulpa and Kellyville are finally back open!

10 AM Update: This crash on the westbound Turner Turnpike from early this morning is *still* causing a big headache.

A semi crashed into the median barrier and it's been a very long cleanup process.

To avoid it, hop off the turnpike at Sapulpa and use Rt 66 to get over to the Kellyville entrance.

Claremore: ODOT says work begins today on the Dog Creek Bridge along Highway 20, just west of the Will Rogers Turnpike entrance.

Traffic will be narrowed to two lanes for about 180 days.

Jenks: Crews are starting Phase 3 of the 96th Street Bridge Maintenance Project.

Westbound traffic remains narrowed down to one lane, but eastbound traffic will open back up to two lanes today.

🚧 Monday Traffic/Construction Updates! There are several areas around the Tulsa metro to be aware of today:

Catoosa: The southbound Highway 66 ramp to westbound I-44 will be *closed* from 9 AM to 3 PM.

Westbound I-44 at Highway 66 will also be narrowed to one lane from 9 AM to 3 PM.

The moon has set for the morning, but it looked BEAUTIFUL before sunrise! Tonight is the October full moon, the Harvest Moon! #okwx

To avoid this, you can hop off the Turner Turnpike in Sapulpa and take SH-66 over to SH-33 to get back on the turnpike. #TulsaTraffic

6:20 AM Monday: If you're heading westbound out of Tulsa on the Turner Turnpike, heads up:

A crash is working in the westbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike near mile marker 212, just before you get to the SH-33 (Kellyville) exit. Traffic is only getting by on the shoulder right now. #TulsaTraffic

Honestly, at this point I want to see the OU defense try to go without a turnover for the entire season.

That would be a different level of impressive.

Ooooh, there is some classic CFB chaos brewing today.

Might be some widely scattered showers along/behind that front mid-late next week. But nothing widespread or heavy showing up.

Both OSU and TU are away this week.

OSU is in for hot and breezy conditions in Tucson for their game against Arizona. And TU will have some great weather Saturday evening for their game at Memphis.

No weather issues for Saturday college football! Other than the absence of some early fall temperatures.

If you're headed to Norman for OU vs Kent State, expect more very warm weather and sunshine with some breezy south winds. #okwx

We're still searching for cold fronts, and we are seeing one next week!

BUT, right now it looks like a fairly weak cold front that simply trends our temperatures back closer to normal around Wednesday of next week.

It could take us a while to get a true big fall cold front around here. #okwx

No surprises here: It's still very warm to wrap up the week. That unseasonable warmth continues through this final weekend of the Tulsa State Fair.

This will be our second straight year with no rain for all 11 days of the fair! #okwx

Last October brought us multiple stretches of summerlike heat, and ended up as our 6th hottest October on record.

Here's hoping we don't repeat this again this year (especially that heat we had in late October last year), but it's still summertime to start this October for now. #okwx
