Just 1 of the stultifying knock-on decisions made by the supreme court yesterday in their choice to make transwomen *officially* not women:a cis lesbian in a relationship with a transwoman is now deemed to be heterosexual!

Having excluded all trans people from proceedings before it, the Supreme Court decides in favour of For Some Women Scotland.

Ugh. Trans women are women. They are not the enemy. All of this bullshit is such a distraction. If this much energy and money was put into improving the lives of people at the fringes rather than in excluding them, then we would be in a better place. We are not defined by the content of our pants.

I agree with all of this. Further, I think it is easier the cut off the nuances and grey areas of people, rather than expend the energy attempting to know/understand/empathise people with whom we would have no contact were it not for 24/7internet. It's self protective yet makes it worse every time.
