I spent some hours in a not insignificant amount of frustration today trying to figure out how to handle the deployment of my Java microservices project using docker images/containers. Now I’m being told that I should probably teach myself Kubernetes when I can. How much should I be dreading this?

I never said thank you for this and I apologize, it’s actually been quite helpful to know of these. I haven’t had to implement most of them yet, but it’s good to have them in my back pocket as I start to think about how I might want this to expand in scope, so thank you!

Listening to people talk about game development the other night made me actually open up Godot and start working on my dream game for the first time in forever! Anyone have any recs for design patterns I might find useful? I’m already implementing things using singletons and state stacks.

You got a problem with someone in the same sphere. Try an email or a damn call. But instead, I'm seeing defaults to screenshots and public shame. Really unfortunate.

Public shame works. But it's not the first thing you do in every case. Especially for people in your own community you know are trying and have a track record of good faith.

The bridge burning I'm seeing the last few years is really disheartening.

There's a faction of leftist people online who have been abused/targeted online or off, who now engage with literally anyone they are upset (rightfully or not) with in a counter campaign of public berating. Instead of any isolated conversation they could have had offline with the other party.

Honestly it wasn’t really advice, but group therapy really did an excellent job at making me feel more comfortable with myself around other people.
