Added some ancillary speech VFX to the VOIP behaviours and tuned the voice mod to be a bit less aggressive.

There's a tendency towards outrage when notable studios we view as "successful" are affected by horrible industry stuff but I do think 3 people laid off at a studio you've never heard of is equally as unjust as a studio everyone knows shuttering. the scale is different but the effects are the same.

hot take but I think workers shouldn't get laid off even at studios with unsuccessful projects

sony being morons and funding a million games no one likes is true but its being overemphasised because it has a moral arc that feels good. whats happening in games is a global industry wide re-organization of labour because movement of capital is free and movement of people is not

at work-for-hire studio i was at in the early 2020s, when my project got canceled i was told i’d either be placed on codev for halo infinite or an amazon games studios game. i liked halo but didn’t like the 50/50 odds

Where's the line between supporting someone and opportunistically trying to poach people who have been put in an awful situation

I know the sentiment of "our studio is hiring if you got laid off :)" is theoretically supportive, but man if it doesn't feel like other studios are just circling around like vultures most of the time
