one of the games that will stick with me out of the No ICE bundle is TV-Chan's Great Escape!, which has boxart and a title suggesting a cutesy block-pushing puzzle game, and it is that -- but throws a dissonant soundtrack, offputting digitized cutscene art and truly horrific parenting into the mix

These reports have contained inaccuracies, and we feel it's important to set the record straight. • The funding for our project was pulled, and our game was canceled. • Due to confidentiality agreements, we cannot disclose the publisher's identity, though some may infer it from public information. • As a result, we now have to reassess the entire staffing of our studio. • Romero Games is not closed, and we are doing everything in our power to ensure that it does not come to that. Any suggestion otherwise is factually incorrect. Indeed, we were in the studio today to discuss next steps with the team. • We've been contacted by several publishers interested in helping us bring the game across the finish line, and we're currently evaluating those opportunities. Ten years ago, myself and @ryancraddock.bsky.social had the amazing (and totally unexpected) good fortune to meet Miyamoto and Tezuka on a press jaunt in London. Feels like it was yesterday!

In Super Mario Maker 2, the Dry Bones Shell has mysterious "fate-sealing" properties. As long as Mario wears it, the RNG is locked in place, so that events that should have an unpredictable outcome play out the exact same way every time.

Microsoft confirm they've supplied AI tech to the Israeli military for use in Gaza, following BDS Xbox boycott Microsoft have finally spoken out about reports that they have supplied tech for the Israeli military's attack on Gaza, after calls for a boycott of Xbox games.

I hate to post this today, with all the news, but the genocide goes before all. Microsoft confirms it is supporting the genocide with AI tech. Israel never does anything but hurt Palestinians in Gaza, so "it's not used to harm Palestinians" is bullshit.
