Metabolic adaptations of brain metastasis Nature Reviews Cancer, Published online: 24 July 2025; doi:10.1038/s41568-025-00848-1In this Review, Parida and Malladi summarize the metabolic adaptations of tumour cells upon dissemination to the brain, outline the metabolic crosstalk between cancer and brain-resident cells and discuss potential strategies to target these adaptations to improve outcomes for patients with brain metastasis.

Pvf1-PvR-mediated crosstalk between the trachea and the gut guides intestinal stem cell migration to promote gut regeneration In adult tissues, stem cells (SCs) reside in specialized niches, where they are maintained in a quiescent state until activated by injury. Once activated, they migrate towards injured sites, where the...

A true team effort lead by Andre Medina and Jessica Perochon. Thanks to all members of the lab who teamed up to take this paper to the finish line.

Comment on our @Reproducibility project in @Drosophila immunity. It is a normal that findingsโ€”however exciting and important at the timeโ€”may later prove to be more complex than initially believed. This isn't a coincidence, IMO. The fly community is generally super rigorous - because there are so many tools and techniques available, people expect you to really nail things in order to get published (and keep getting funded)
