New insights into how gut cells respond to bacterial toxins - Hubrecht Institute Researchers from the Organoid group found that BEST4/CA7+ cells regulate electrolyte and water balance in response to bacterial toxins that cause diarrhea.

The organoid group has discovered that specific gut epithelial cells, known as BEST4/CA7+ cells, maintain fluid homeostasis and expand significantly to combat bacteria that cause diarrhea. They are the primary targets of bacterial diarrheal toxins. Read more ๐Ÿ‘‰
