04.11.2025 08:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0In 2015 UNHCR said allow people to apply for asylum at any European embassy anywhere in world. Claims examined in situ, genuine refugees flown safely & legally to receiving country, those rejected wouldn't bother trying because they'd be deported on arrival. Why did we reject this sensible idea?

Please tell me why it is Disabled People and Pensioners bank accounts we are spying on and not Billionaires and Politicians.
We absolutely should be protesting the actions of the Israeli government towards the innocent people of Gaza. Jewish people absolutely should feel safe and secure and loved on the streets of our country. There is absolutely nothing incompatible between these two.

His principled leadership opposing the Iraq War was a mark of his morality, courage and wisdom.
But more than that, he was an incredibly warm and caring friend and colleague.
We will miss him terribly.
Shout out to @london.gov.uk Sadiq Khan for speaking truth to power. More moral courage in his little finger etc etc.
24.09.2025 11:39 โ ๐ 234 ๐ 44 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Reform's plan for a benefit clampdown Sir, Regarding Reform's plan to ban foreigners from claiming benefits ("Farage visas would make it harder to settle in the UK", news, Sep 22; "Time's Up", leading article, Sep 23), in my small company for the past ten years we have employed, on a yearly average, 32 eastern European people, two of them in senior management positions. They all pay British taxes and have had little or no unexplained absences to date. Sick leave for them is extremely low. As far as I am aware, none of them is claiming benefits for dependants. These diligent people provide compassionate care for their clients, living with them for a few weeks at a time. During the pandemic they were responsible for ensuring zero transmission of the virus to people in their care. I feel utterly ashamed that many of them will be reading about Nigel Farage's plan on their various social media platforms this morning. Chrstina Sell Managing director, Arbour
Our politics and media have become viciously obsessed with immigration. Farage has made sure of it. And in that obsession, theyโve all lost sight of the people they target. Fellow human beings trying to live and belong somewhere.
Shame on everyone responsible for this daily inhumanity

Nurse to patient: I have bad news for you. Things are not going to go well because Mercury is in Uranus.
Patient: Oh, I don't believe in all that astrology nonsense.
Nurse: No, it's not astrology. My thermometer's broken.
Is he suggesting that all Jews like killing children and civilians? Because that's the implication of what he's written and it sounds extremely antisemitic to me.
