That part. That part is the crux of the whole thing. It was a beta, and people, especially the PC crowd, just couldn't wrap their minds around the fact that it was an unoptimized beta.
Don't get me wrong, I played games on PC for years, but as I got older, and had more bills, I couldn't justify the yearly cost of upgrades to keep up with the Joneses.
