FWIW, it's perhaps worth noting that when Benjamin Franklin visited France between 1776 and 1778 to ask for military support for the then-new-formed United States of America, he wore a coonskin cap. "Proper" French court attire at this time was a powdered wig.

Something to keep in mind about these personnel cuts in the federal workforce: if a production process requires 10 people to complete, and you fire 5 of them, you don't reduce output by 50%—you reduce it to 0...because it takes ten people.

Civil Servants Are Not America’s Enemies Trump wants to bring back the spoils system of the 19th century.

Nonpartisan civil services are more efficient, more productive, more experienced, higher morale, protect taxpayers against graft, and are associated with lower sovereign-debt costs and stronger growth. Supporting them shouldn't be a partisan thing!
