As hesitant as I originally was with a remake of MGS3, I have to say that Konami did a really nice job with Δ. The new gameplay style and enemy AI work surprisingly well! Of course, the original game design by Kojima and team is what makes this game a timeless classic.

I still think about Cyber Shadow, its gameplay and soundtrack worked in perfect harmony and I consider it the best 2D ninja game out there (and getting the Platinum trophy was HARD but super fun!). I still get goosebumps from the 2020 Story trailer.

It was a magical time and feeling. Very difficult to replicate nowadays, that sense of wonder and exploration in a game

Time to finally (no pun intended) experience Final Fantasy IV. After researching online all the available versions, I decided to purchase the PSP version and play it on original hardware, my old PSP-1000 back from 2007.

Metal Gear Solid throughout the years. Still remember waiting in line outside a UNIQLO in Midtown Manhattan in 2012 to have my copy of MGS4 signed by Mr. Kojima and Mr. Shinkawa.

Lovely sprite work from the PS1 game, X2: No Relief. Recently revisited this and definitely think it’s underappreciated, mainly because I think it only saw a European release. Kickass techno OST as well, representative of the mid 90s.

What I absolutely loved about Final Fantasy XIII is how hard the logo hits after you finish the game (not a spoiler without context but the logo is essentially a depiction of the game’s finale!)

Aaaand finally finished FFXIII. Holds up brilliantly even after all these years! Didn’t find the linearity of it as bothersome as people made it to be. Definitely interested in checking out XIII-2 and XIII-3; here’s hoping SE releases remastered versions on PS5 at some point.
