I just had to cancel my #toddler ‘s “fun classes” (swim) because I no longer make enough between both jobs to keep up with them. I feel major #momguilt having to take her joy away.

I need to vent into the void.

2025 has been the worst year already in my personal life. We had a death on my partners side of the family, my dad got diagnosed with cancer, work hours went DOWN (a lot) at both jobs, Etsy business miserably failed, been short on bills and my toddler peed on me today.

GIRL don’t get me started. I got pulled over for going two over Monday, I’m sicker than I have been in years, and my short to pay my bills this month. The g string is broken and life is pulling me by the feet now 😫

Curious to see who has gone back to TikTok and who has left for good. If you decided to leave TikTok for good, what were the reasons?

Long time fan, but didn’t download the app until yesterday!

It was never about the users. It was about cashing in on what was new and popular.

They never stuck to their original ideas. They started leeching off other apps and changing, but never got it right. It was always a shittier form of someone else’s idea. YouTube was never short form and insta was for sharing photos. They tried to become Snapchat and then TikTok.

It helped me get through my postpartum depression and find new hobbies. Whole communities and ways of communicating just gone.

THIS. Having to explain to people that they go hand in hand and you can be sad about more than one thing at once.

There is so much going on between our government/democracy, TikTok, living conditions, divisiveness.. I can’t help but feel so fatigued.

It’s a byproduct and something tangible. I believe it’s an easy gateway for people to reflect on what’s going on. Most posts I’ve seen also talk about the government/their dissatisfaction in its decline.

RIGHT.
I feel like this app is the closest thing I’ve found similar to the community on TikTok. Everything else feels so…cold.

The loss of TikTok IS political and it IS telling of where we are heading.

My brain rejoiced in being about to doom scroll after a long day. I’m struggling to “shut off”. I guess yapping is my way of releasing 😂
