Me stating why I do not like a knitting pattern is not a personal attack on people who do. It's a knitting pattern, not a personality. 🧶

Sometime you just have to let someone be mad and know it's not about you even if they want to make it about you.

Yeah. The boards and groups are still active but it doesn't drive discourse the way it used to. But the online fiber community feel pretty diffused to me these days. So many platforms and there's not one place where everything coalesces now.

I'm not assuming you are not. I'm giving you more context as to why I posted what I posted. And the gently wasn't meant as sarcasm. It was to convey that I'm not trying to be snappy.

I appreciate that your intent was not to lecture.

My post is in reference to someone on insta with 52k followed and an Etsy store. And gently, as a religious minority impacted by the rise of Christian fascism I don't really need lectures about not judging people's buying options when they're playing the politics of personal comfort.

If you're making a perfectly shot video of driving , while drinking coffee so you can say "I'm not invited "I may not be invited back but at least they know I'm not okay bringing politics into knitting and buying yarn from wherever I want" is in fact a politics statement. 🧶
