Why a Grand Junction food bank opened a restaurant The Community Food Bank of Grand Junction has opened a cafe to support its mission.

A food bank opened a restaurant in Grand Junctionโ€” where fast food options vastly outnumber healthier ones.

We expected 2,000 people out in GOP-held Greeley, Colorado.

11,000 people showed up.

Something special is happening, folks. Now is the time to organize in every dimension possible and get to work.

You know where you can go and not worry about breaking the economic blackout today?

Your local library! All those books and you wonโ€™t spend a penny!

Spectrum sent me a bill for service I didn't receive after having to stand in one of their stores for nearly 3hrs to cancel my service. Good riddance...tho we now have Quantum (which is CenturyLink rebranded because they sucked so bad. I doubt they changed anything but the name lol)

From EARTHSEED: THE BOOKS OF THE LIVING
Choose your leaders with wisdom and forethought.
To be led by a coward is to be controlled
by all that the coward fears.
To be led by a fool is to be led
by the opportunists who control the fool.
To be led by a thief is to offer up your most precious treasures to be stolen.
To be led by a liar is to ask to be told lies.
To be led by a tyrant is to sell yourself and those you love into slavery.

Resistance Plan
Wise and important words from sociologist Jennifer Walter about what is happening in our country right now and what to do about it:
"As a sociologist, I need to tell you: Your overwhelm is the goal.

* The flood of 200+ executive orders in Trump's first days exemplifies Naomi Klein's "shock doctrine" - Using chaos and crisis to push radical changes while people are too disoriented to effectively resist. This isn't just politics as usual - it's a strategic exploitation of cognitive limits.

* Media theorist McLuhan predicted this: When humans face information overload, they become passive and disengaged. The rapid-fire executive orders create a cognitive bottleneck, making it nearly impossible for citizens and media to thoroughly analyze any single policy.

* Agenda-setting theory explains the strategy: When multiple major policies compete for attention simultaneously, it fragments public discourse. Traditional media can't keep up with the pace, leading to superficial coverage. The result? Weakened democratic oversight and reduced public engagement.

What now?

* Set boundaries: Pick 2-3 key issues you deeply care about and focus your attention there. You can't track everything - that's by design. Impact comes from sustained focus, not scattered awareness.

* Use aggregators & experts: Find trusted analysts who do the heavy lifting of synthesis. Look for those explaining patterns, not just events.

* Remember: Feeling overwhelmed is the point. When you recognize this, you regain some power. Take breaks. Process. This is a marathon.

* Practice going slow: Wait 48hours before reacting to new policies. The urgent clouds the important. Initial reporting often misses context.

* Build community: Share the cognitive load. Different people track different issues. Network intelligence beats individual overload.

Remember: They want you scattered. Your focus is resistance."
