THREAD: President Trump’s order threatening schools that support their LGBTQ+ students is another appalling attack on the rights of our LGBTQ+ community. Every child deserves a school that sees them as whole, vibrant human beings. It’s downright un-American to offer anything less.

I think about it a lot in moments like this.

There was a shit ton of this kind of rhetoric in late 2023. People apparently gave no thought to how bad things would get domestically under Trump, which makes me think either a) they forgot what Trump's first term was like, or b) truly believe D and R are the same for marginalized communities

Fuck bipartisanship. Republicans have openly walked all over the constitution and made their intentions clear on the groups of people they want to hurt while lining their pockets. You're the face of party that's supposed to stand in opposition to that. You could at least pretend to have a spine.

This is something I've thought about too. Statistically speaking, trans bathroom bans are likely to harm a lot of cis people. Like even cis women with a few too many masculine features trying to use the bathroom could be caught up in the witch hunt

Thank you! Democrats deserve valid criticism, but sometimes people get so caught up in that that they seem to forget to hold Republicans responsible for any part of it. People unknowingly end up propagating right wing messaging in their attempt to dunk on Dems

I think I would have actually gotten a lot more out of the MPC if I used it for any live music, but I'm definitely not a performer lol. I do still have access to the MPC software and the plugins and some of them are quite good! I still use Air Flavor Pro from time to time

I've never messed with any of the older MPCs. I had an MPC Live and thought it was neat, but it also felt like it was trying to be too much of a "daw in a box" if that makes sense. I did end up with a Maschine mk3 but haven't used it as much as I should

Interesting choice, are you planning a follow up post about it? I've always liked the LinnDrum sounds but I've typically either just loaded samples into a drum rack or kept them on my Digitakt when I had one. Interested to see Behringer's take on it

Unfortunately, this is the takeaway people like this get from the results of the 2024 election. Democrat support (or lack thereof) for trans people had little influence on the results. But a scapegoat is chosen, and the Overton Window shifts further right

Yep. We keep a towel and a blanket at the bottom so they're comfy on their trips to the vet. It's a small comfort, but I imagine it's less traumatic than the struggle of shoving them through the door of a carrier
