I often think we honour the wrong people. Or at least we do not always honour enough of the right people.

Why can't a guy who works to support people of little to no means get this honour?

Why can't someone who donates time to the food bank?

Why does it always go to high profile people?

I'd like to take time to acknowledge the people who donate their time and do their part to make this country great. These people don't have high profiles or powerful friends but they are as important as all the inductees in to Order of Canada.

Today is my birthday, and all I want is for you to play w all your hearts.

This is the last pic I took of my father. It's the last time I saw him before the dementia took him away. We watched #Oilers games together whenever we could. He would love this series.

It's worth noting that at the same time Danielle Smith is making it easier for a sovereignty referendum to move forward, she is deliberately dragging her feet on calling a byelection for Edmonton-Strathcona and thus delaying the point when the leader of the opposition can take his seat.

My husband does all the cooking. I manage our finances.

I hope everyone who votes ABC in #saanichgulfislands chooses #ElizabethMay. Not just because she's the best ABC option, but because she is an important voice in Parliament.

Everyone I've spoken to has concluded #ElizabethMay is the one. My choice was solidified when a read a Facebook post by a conservative suggesting we not vote strategically. lol

I've been following this closely. The neighbourhood is trying to determine the best strategic vote when it's obviously May.

I live in May's riding, and people I'm speaking to are only moving liberal out if fear of a conservative win.

I fear they are making room for the CPC candidate.

If anyone in #ElizabethMay riding has up to date polls I'd love to see them.

I am really struggling with my vote this time. I want to vote May. A lot of neighbours are switching to liberal and my fear is they are creating room for the CPC candidate to win.

I was going to vote for May, but I had no idea we had a star candidate!

If you have not seen #Adolecence yet, I highly recommend. I spent years practicing law in youth court. This show is the closest to reality that I've ever seen.

I barely know him. He served us at the Bistro. Our dogs played w each other. We chatted generally about how he came from "out east" and settled here.

And then he got into a car accident and he died. And I'm inexplicably sad.

I love it here. But these losses are deeply felt. I think that's good.

When we left the city for a small island, we prepared for the cultural shift. We thought we did a pretty good job, but our island community recently experienced the loss of a young man, and I've realized I was not prepared for the impact of that loss.
