I can’t tell you how much of a treat it was when I was growing up to go to the local Pizza Hut, sit in a booth, gorge myself on pizza, and drink the fizziest cokes from the coke fountain. The brand is a shell of what it was.

Obviously this doesn’t help with ESPN proper, but at least I can get the big games on ABC again, AND I have an internet-agnostic fallback for all the major networks.

This week I’ll be upgrading from YouTube TV to a big metal antenna in my attic that attaches to a digital tuner that multicasts over my LAN to my Plex Media Server so I can watch the SEC on ABC again.

I’d rather spend $200 in new hardware than pay Disney/ESPN another dime.
