I’ve been writing a bit on chigo (temple acolytes), and one person I would definitely recommend on this subject is Sachi Schmidt-Hori, who basically argues that the gender of chigo was neither male nor female, but rather “child.” Different from prepubescent children and more feminine than adult men.

Transphobia is rooted in ⚪️ supremacy. Ableism is rooted in ⚪️ supremacy. Misogyny, Christian nationalism, factory farming, redlining, the anti-vax movement, anti-abortion movements, and gerrymandering are all rooted in ⚪️ supremacy. And ⚪️ supremacy is rooted in capitalism. It’s all got to go.
