yeah I find the description of him as this figure otherwordly figure of shadow and fire much more intriguing than simply being this big typical demon monster. Although I also understand why they chose to depict him that way in the movies.

also... there's an exhibit of amano originals up at lomex in chinatown. completely bananas work. amazed at how amano pulled compositions out of these ink washes
