Yes, this. Cancer is glamorised in the movies & sanitised in the stories published especially by cancer charities. It doesn't depict the reality of cancer & we end up feeling as if we are alone in what is happening to us. Knowing that others have similar experiences helps us #CanSky #ThanksCancer

Couldn’t complete chemotherapy. Too many complications with prior Crohn’s disease and treatment of it. So surgery today. On the bright side I really like my surgeon and oncologist and am looking forward to whatever’s next!

I totally agree. I’m trying to survive colorectal cancer now. Surgery in a week. Hayley is a big reason I open Bluesky.

Christianity is so prevalent here in the flat 48 that nothing else gets through because while I've never met a satanist that made me say "Holeee fuck- I'm glad I'm not one of those people!" I've known so many Christians that fit that description that I can count on one hand the ones who weren't.

The administration is removing phone support for Soc Security recipients. Making it more difficult for seniors to get their checks. It’s a back door way to cut SS benefits. Horrific.
