While I disagree with his equating of MAGA to Angel films or more trad Cons/R's/Christians, my issue with MAGA art is that it's largely built on grievance or a reaction to The Leftβ„’, making it feel empty, slapdash & more like a momentary fit or rage bait instead than anything with lasting impact.

I happened upon it in real time and was glad that I caught it. It would have been nice to have the subtitles presented by default as it was a message that deserved to be heard, so I hope venues that presented the game had them set where available.

When additional votes are tallied, they do tend to change the numbers.

Yes. This. I've never understand the thinking behind this...like, I get it, but removing yourself from being able to monitor the wrongdoing and allowing a sycophant in your place feels self-defeating.

Amazon has spent over $70M on Melania Trump’s Eva Braun β€œdocumentary” while also laying off 16,000 workers. These are choices. So is how you buy stuff. Vote with your wallet.

A long Facebook post from years ago talking about how much it sucks to be Harriet Winslow.

If he buys WB, he will just create another failing company. The output at Paramount under his lead has been abysmal. Being rich doesn't mean you have taste.

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.

The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

I'd always had an inkling and it had come up before, but filed it away and tried my best to mitigate using my own reading. Similarly, it wasn't until having a session with a therapist who asked, "Have you ever considered exploring ADHD?", completely unprompted, that I came back to it again. πŸ˜…

Oh good. Well, I hope you find a resolution. It's something that I've been journeying through as well as a 40-something whose always known, but with a similarly long road to actualization. If you are being as persistent as you seem, you'll get there. Good luck!

Are you working through a primary doctor or a psychiatrist/therapist? Consulting the latter may be more helpful.

Was replying elsewhere as well, but it's hard to get excited when they are largely subjective and contain so few surprises. They don't tend to line up with public or even critical opinion at this point, just a trotting out of the usual, often well-connected horses.

The Democrats of the Seven Kingdoms β€œAs support for abolishing ICE grows among Democratic voters, party leadership continues to argue for reform instead.” β€”Salon - - -The Delegation t...

The Democrats of the Seven Kingdoms sailed west to reason with the Ironborn, who were actively raiding the coast. They brought proposals of mutual respect, economic incentives, and a shared vision of peace.

The Ironborn took their ships, their silver, and several delegates.

You have to smile at Facebook...er...Meta...shutting down it's Metaverse operations. Perhaps they should have considered something more inspiring instead of changing their entire corporate identity to a meaningless buzzword...or follow through rather of chasing another handful of magic beans.

Very hard! For me, straight to the shower, dress, make the bed, coffee & breakfast. A walk. When cold hit, a stretch & body exercises. Helps to keep busy. To ween off the looking, tee up audio right away, via Alexa or Home if you have it. News. Music. Pod. It at least avoids the visual rabbit hole.

It's not 2015 anymore. You had a good run, but it's time to move on. There are other, better alternates not overrun by hate speech and abusive AI.

I don't understand why legacy news media, search engines, politicians & brands continue to use and link to X as a main drain as if it's still the same flourishing social square of public opinion that it was when it was Twitter, moreover not one owned and run by someone openly hostile to truth.

Gemini's "assistance" has rendered using my phone handsfree in the car nearly useless, when the old "Hey Google", followed by a basic command worked just fine. If you're already telling me that this is prone to mistakes, I fail to see the appeal of including it further into my daily routine.

ICE is what happens when little boys grow up only playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and don't balance it out with silly little games like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. Not a drop of whimsy to be found in these broken men.

Young Americans Are Unplugging, And It's Making Them Happier People who create screen-free time in their day say they feel more productive, more present with loved ones, and more aware of what's happening around them.

A positive trend...

My good pal, @cothadactyl.bsky.social recently stated, quite plainly, "Less apps = more happiness."

You are correct, sir.
