But it’s not like Gaza and the Palestinians were free before then. We need to acknowledge that Israel was committing atrocities before that date, as well as now.

Multiple human rights organizations, as well as Holocaust historians, have called it that. Including some in Israel. If it makes you personally uncomfortable to call it that. Fine.

Lastly, this didn’t start on 10/7. Did the situation for Israel change on 10/7? Absolutely.

Why? Because Bibi’s political survival, and possibly his literal freedom, is dependent on the war continuing. The only time a large amount of hostages were returned alive, was during a temporary ceasefire.

Second, we need to stop scolding people who are calling it a genocide.

As a supporter of the state of Israel, not the government, and as an American Jew, we need to come to terms with two things. First, stop saying that if Hamas returned the remaining hostages, this would end. No it wouldn’t. Israel had stated in every negotiation that the ceasefire be temporary.

Just started #BlackDoves on Netflix. First episode was surprisingly good. Also it’s interesting to see Q from the Daniel Craig James Bond playing an assassin against the British government.

Just finished #Untamed on Netflix. It was better than I expected. Yes it was somewhat predictable, but the acting was quite good. Plus you got to see a lot of what British Columbia woukd look like if it was Yosemite.

Not sure how they’ll do a second season though…

they didn’t realize that property taxes in Texas are essentially double what they are in California. Both of them lost their original jobs and had to job hunt for Texas jobs, which means a pay cut. So now they’re being paid less and their housing cost hasn’t really gone down.

Sure the cost of living in Texas is lower than California. But if you need any sort of state services, California is much better. My dad and father in law both need Medicaid. In CA, it’s a very easy process, in TX, it’s nearly impossible.

Not going to lie, this cracks me up. When I met my wife, she was living in Austin and while I didn’t like it, it’s not as bad as these dudes make it seem. Is it the best city in Texas? Sure but that’s an incredibly low bar. But the bigger joke is “affordability.”
