No. Demanding government disclosure of the names of government agents when they kill Americans is moderate.

Wanting to read the names off the plaque at a mass grave would be, perhaps, extreme.

This is a very good thread on the current "negotiations" and I use that term lightly. It's still basically give Russia everything it wants, but let's leave Ukraine security undefined.

- Full control of the four annexed oblasts: Donetsk and Luhansk (the Donbas), Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia, including areas not currently occupied by Russian forces.
- De facto incorporation of smaller occupied pockets beyond these regions, such as the Kinburn Spit.

Chuck Schumer's starting position should be as maximalist as possible -- complete abolition of ICE, resignations of Bovino, Homan, Noem and Miller, unmasking of all agents, and prosecution by state authorities of the murderers.

Don't start with what looks like a compromise half-measure.

The federal presence in a crisis like this has always been predicated on de-escalating the violence. Up until now.

I was just pondering yesterday that the White House's spokesperson for the Twin Cities occupation being Greg Bovino -- one of the most loathsome people in America -- was a pretty grim sign. The fact he's being demoted shows that normal political incentives still work at least to an extent.

NewsNation is reporting that "Bovino and his unit will be leaving Minnesota after today"

Bovino is just the patsy - a noxious and odious fall guy. Stephen Miller is the architect and prime mover of the whole thing. Everything they do is at his direction - often after his threats. As long as he runs policy in the WH, nothing will change no matter how many Bovinos come and go.
