This Hungry Life is a "call to arms" song of melancholic defiance by @tanyadonelly.bsky.social written during the GWB era. I lean on it a LOT 8 years ago and it rings true now. The outro passage (below) in particular has gotten me through some rough shit, political and otherwise.

You won't be any better at fighting what's coming if you burn yourself out and spend all your time feeling bleak and hopeless, and the people telling you that it's all despair now probably don't have anyone's best interest at heart.

I am not watching one single thing produced by or orchestrated by that administration. That's their propaganda. Why would I make it easy on them?
