This cute guy decided to spend the night inside our flat. Possibly a Wolfsmilchschwärmer/spurge hawk-moth, although the pictures online of them look a lot more colourful. He did have the red bits on the wings, though, and the size matches.

Wien is always worth a visit. Both culturally, but also there are surprisingly good spots for animal photography as well. Check out wienerwildnis.at for some inspiration for example.

Gophers or ground squirrels seen on the parking lot of the Römerstadt Carnuntum in Niederösterreich 🇦🇹. They're fairly used to the people there, so sitting down with the tele lens and waiting for half an hour was enough to get some great shots.

European bee-eater taken here in Austria in June of 2023. These little colourful birds have a few spots around Vienna and Niederösterreich where they nest and breed, but they're usually kept secret, because they are so shy and rare.
