How on earth are we at roughly 50/50 voting intention for an independent Scotland 10 years after the vote that could have changed our country forever. I do understand why the scare stories from project fear about pensions, EU membership, currency and of course The Vow worked then. Surely not now?

Scotland has no steel industry or Scottish-based exporting industry and no stock markets. We will have no petrochemical fuel production and GB Energy will control our electricity supply. We have no influence in UK government decisions. That's not a country, that's a colony.

Divide and conquer has been a winning British Empire formula for centuries. It has worked again in Scotland ever since the gloves came off during the run up to the independence vote and has continued unabated. We all, collectively, have to recognise this and rise above it.

Scotland should have the cheapest energy costs in the UK....but no, we have some of the highest. Lots of new infrastructure going in to take even more energy to England, while our only refinery is shut down. Some here think it's fine, it's just a bit of asset stripping by the colonial masters.
