I was an isolated homeschooled kid who grew into a very recommendation-resistant adult so I have a lot of cultural holes.

Supernatural is the first one that comes to mind for me, never seen a single episode even in passing.

I misread that as "who are you running from?" and it still made sense.

My partner just informed me they (sorta) did this with the original Bioshock trailer.

Which brings up the interesting question - is it more effective to creepify an upbeat song, or keep it exactly the same in a horror trailer for the dissonance?
