Today is World Calligraphy Day, and hopefully you know that #Tolkien was an accomplished calligrapher. He used different styles of handwriting and alphabets to create depth in his stories. Not just an author, poet and scholar, but an artist, too!

proud of how this turned out and that it placed 3rd 🥳 ✨
I love learning and trying new things like this and you never know when those skills will be useful. I got better at color theory working on pixel art like hue shifting for shadows & highlights

Tá Gaeilge agam! ❤️☘️
Had my first event as a vendor over the weekend! This has been a personal goal of mine along with designing merch featuring Celtic illumination, ogham or calligraphy. I also made free vocab cheatsheets & was great seeing people's faces light up w/ "Oh, Irish!" before saying hi

Piece in the glass craft & bead expo's gallery of excellence in vegas
Proud of this piece (18x20") and first time submitting to an art show in years. I made this as a gift for my mum based on one of her fav works by Picasso. I made the template, practiced glass paint and used gold leaf for the eyes
which art should I do next? 🤔
