Today is World Calligraphy Day, and hopefully you know that #Tolkien was an accomplished calligrapher. He used different styles of handwriting and alphabets to create depth in his stories. Not just an author, poet and scholar, but an artist, too!

Taking a calligraphy class on insular majuscule which was used in the book of kells. Last night was my first lesson and worked on this for morning practice. Good start with more room to improve 😅

Proud of this piece (18x20") and first time submitting to an art show in years. I made this as a gift for my mum based on one of her fav works by Picasso. I made the template, practiced glass paint and used gold leaf for the eyes

Outlook.com DOES Support Margins - Email On Acid It turns out that Outlook.com isn’t totally removing margins from email code, as long as you know this trick.

like how having someone on the team who has worked with email html/css can be helpful to flag things early since theres a ton of hacks & gotchas like using "Margin: X" along with "margin" to make it work in certain versions of outlook (yes thats really a thing www.emailonacid.com/blog/article... 😭)

Ive mostly been on product teams so we needed everyone to have a mix of skills across domains and tools like CI or rails/react. rspec is powerful but can also be a footgun with how you set things up (before blocks, context data) which can be a pain to change later

what about crushing it into a ball and to play it you have to make a mini basket in the center of the table–extra points for trick shots
