You know the president is a child rapist, right?

I remember seeing voters discuss a politician who had raped a 14‑year‑old girl he later married. One even said something like, “I’d be proud if he chose my daughter.” I thought, bloody hell... partisanship runs deep in the USA. As long as you have an R next to your name, you can get away with a lot.

Is there really evidence that priests and others in the Church are still abusing children? That seems extraordinary in light of everything that has happened.

Yeah, I can kind of get what Marc means but, at the same time, I can easily see the opposing argument - that, actually, if the victims were predominantly boys, the scandal and tragedy would have got even less attention.

Is that really true?

Call me cynical, but if the Epstein scandal were about men abusing and trafficking boys & young men, we'd be seeing a very different response. The misogyny, homophobia, and overall disgusting nature of the GOP astounds me. As well as the general public's weird non-response to atrocities in general.

I don't think they understand that his goals are much broader and more ambitious. That those goals involve the destruction of the transatlantic alliance and maybe even of the European Union.

They haven't understood that before there's going to be any end to the war, Putin will have to lose it.

The West has a similar problem with Islamic fundamentalists. It just doesn't get it, unfortunately.
