I read “the guy that founded the studio that made Fortnite” and now I feel fuckin’ old 🤣 regardless, congrats, Micah! Well deserved piece of fame right there!

I’ve wrapped the work on major game systems for now, and moved on to the visuals for the upcoming #Tailgate demo. There have been a lot of placeholder assets (like those flat and ugly bricks in the first pic) in alpha, now it’s time to model and texture some stuff!

We managed to implement 20% of what we designed/wanted, but made a pretty cohesive MVP that managed to get shortlisted (top 20 games of the contests).

In January I invited @vladbat00.bsky.social to take part in @globalgamejam.bsky.social together. We enrolled to the Ctrl+Alt+Disinfo category and worked on a deck builder set in a not-so-distant dystopian future, were propaganda and conspiracies won. 👇

I’m at 25% on public demo backlog and feel really good about all the additions and changes in #Tailgate. Today I’ve added a bit more to the SaveSystem. I’m not done with collecting, storing and applying all the data yet, but still got some good results today! Checkpoint reached!

Started working on the save system for my #indiegame Tailgate. Basic logic is now up and running, a lot more work needs to be done for it to work properly. Funny that I had to (and will too) work on paper/table than in blueprints. #gamedev #unrealengine

#ShowMeSunday I’m doing another dev crunch and it’s already day 9/100. A lot of updates since the start, camera movement and most notably new stamina system.
