07.10.2025 01:36 โ ๐ 47 ๐ 18 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1I would love to see you this weekend at a special ACE Presents screening.... #filmsky #postsky metrograph.com/film/?vista_...
30.09.2025 18:17 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This had to be of some inspiration for the ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER score right? Itโs what I immediately thought of back at the first trailer.
28.09.2025 13:33 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The world is a terrible place, but you can join us for Eric Rohmer's THE AVIATOR'S WIFE and discuss the work and career of filmmaker and editor Mary Stephen in a conversation moderated by Su Friedrich. Tickets at the link:

Iโm having trouble figuring out if the NYC Vista Vision screen (Regal Union Square) will be showing it that way more than one day. Right now only listed for the 24th and both screenings sold out.
09.09.2025 16:58 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Well to be honest, I havenโt watched a Hal Hartley film made in the last 20 yearsโฆ despite even owning Ned Rifle on Blu-Ray. I should correct that.
09.09.2025 13:08 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You cut this? Cool! Sadly out of town this weekend and MPEG panel Tuesday night. Maybe I can get to the Roxy Monday.
08.09.2025 22:23 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You know what feels like one battle after another? Trying to figure out if there will be additional Vista Vision screenings after the opening day of ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER.
08.09.2025 17:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ok, Iโm no longer gonna thread out the whole diary here because itโs a pain, but you can read it in the playlist if you wish.
07.09.2025 20:58 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0So committed am I to watching everything as it comes up while I read MISS MAY DOES NOT EXIST that I watched the entirety of A CRISIS IN SIX SCENES.
04.09.2025 13:47 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโm fully on the McLean bandwagon. #lgm
03.09.2025 15:22 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโve never worked on a movie with better pull quotes than the ones on this poster. Check out TOWHEADS now streaming on The Criterion Channel!
02.09.2025 18:59 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That would be incredible!
02.09.2025 18:59 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Finally saw HIGH AND LOW on the big screen. Pretty much a perfect film. Was fun to watch with a sold out crowd at the New Plaza Cinema where at 49 I may have been the youngest attendee by 2 decades.
02.09.2025 00:48 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Still have CAUGHT STEALING, HIGHEST 2 LOWEST, WEAPONS, HONEY DONโT there too. Probably not all great but all worth a look. And tomorrow you could see CASINO and AFTER HOURS.
31.08.2025 21:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0New York crime films with baseball stadium scenes for me this weekend. Shea Stadium in CAUGHT STEALING and Yankee Stadium in HIGHEST 2 LOWEST.
31.08.2025 21:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Good stuff.
31.08.2025 15:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Having never seen Jaws on a big screen, I decided to watch it on imax. Solid decision.
29.08.2025 22:00 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Excited to think about someone discovering COCKFIGHTER @metrographnyc.bsky.social this weekend, perhaps turning on to Monte Hellman and Warren Oates for the first time and maybe even going so far as to explore Charles Willeford, author of the source novel and many other fine books.
29.08.2025 13:07 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This is Mexico Chiapas from Flux Roasters. Obviously from Mexico! Tasty.

29.08.2025 00:52 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0In good news... you will have a chance to see Rosemead in a theater in December!
27.08.2025 19:07 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0After an entire summer of drinking pre-ground crap coffee from Costco due to an irrational attempt to be "austere," I am really, really enjoying my first fresh ground micro-roaster home pour over this morning.
27.08.2025 12:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Just finished Colson Whiteheadโs JOHN HENRY DAYS which I fittingly found in a storage garage my dad bought off the estate of the hoarding ex-doctor who delivered me. The book is not top shelf Whitehead in the writing, but some big, big themes at play about legend that are good to groove with.

23.08.2025 12:33 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0HUSBANDS. Was 17 in podunk town with no interest in movies. Got a satellite for the first time in 94. Blew my mind that movies could be like that and not just pop culture garbage. Never thought about movies much before then, now it is what I do as an editor and what I think about more than anything.
