Hijitus DVD boxes arrived, from *Canada* of all places
I love all the new art all over the set and in the included PC wallpapers
The encoding isn't amazing but I wasn't expecting much out of Latino DVD authoring anyway
Hopefully I can find the movies box set someday as well

Remi has been one of my top dream licenses so I am absolutely ecstatic to see it release

KSM restoration had some problems (likely due to time crunch) like auto scratch remover detail removal, if the Dybex BD improved upon these that would be very cool

While it's a complete coincidence, EMOTION putting out a 4:3 release of Romeo a few months after AnimEigo puts out theirs is a bit of a kick to the nuts

Interested to see if the encode of Mospeada is superior to the 2012 release

With these guys it's always one step forward and two steps back, now we're no longer getting upscales; instead SDBD or remaster, but now we have to deal with them being incredibly variable in quality of said remasters and what shows they choose to do

It is a little annoying that incredibly obscure shows get a brand spanking new sharp 2024 HD scan and shows with any popularity get reused probably early 2010s scans with bad filtering

This is so strange to me because I have never seen this from them before, Voltes was an obviously new scan that was ruined in the encode, but here we have a good encode with a overly filtered, old scan

Unfortunately, this to me looks like an old scan they had lying around that they "fixed" up
The color grade is the only thing I really like about this, filtering is meh
We will have to see how they handle Daikengo I guess
