Yes. I prefer a rectangle quilt. I do like this quilt pattern and have one (yes mine is square) on the frame. Next time, I will go for a rectangle somehow.

Yes. I use a longarm and when the top comes out of the hammock (I float my quilts) I know I am almost finished. Well, except for trimming, binding, labeling and washing.

There is a green notions bag attached to the post of the machine in front in which sits a pen and my favorite ruler with red tape on it. You can't see the snips.

I have a favorite ruler for ruler work on my longarm. Today was a day for lots of ruler work. After I changed the bobbin, I could not find that ruler anywhere. I spent a good ten minutes looking. Finally I gave up and used another. And no, I didn't see it there until I needed snips from the caddy.

This makes me happy

This is actually a really good, clear, concise, senisible primer on the whole story and the current state of things. Well worth reading if you're a bit behind (as I was).
