A CEO is excited that AI handles "2 million support cases" every year, and welcomes you to "our new Agentic era"

It's one thing to know that people will lose their jobs when execs decide "AI can do it & we will make more money"; it's another thing entirely to watch many of your capable colleagues (and friends!) get silently laid off on the same day your CEO excitedly shares about the AI that has taken over.
