No, they're from all over the world mostly Oliva species. The fossils are from Walsall!

Unearthed's investigation found a network of private anti-Ulez Facebook groups that contained widespread celebrations of vandalism of Ulez cameras, alongside extreme Islamophobia, and white supremacist rhetoric.

These weren't grassroots campaigns: most groups were set up by Tory party operatives.

It could be the start of a Lovecraftian story - It's strange though, when I reopened the photograph the waves looked different, it must be a trick of the light. The shells were unusual too, unlike anything I've seen before...

It's a photograph! Extremely faded, but the faint traces of a landscape are just visible - breaking waves in the foreground, a distant shoreline about half way up and mountains on the distance

What a cracker this front cover is - and the title page continues to deliver - "Made in Birmingham - the hub of industrial England". Detailing the grimy manufacturing of the city this booklet, definitely mid-1930s, was issued by the City of Birmingham Information Office. That aside its a great cover, very of its era in terms of commercial art and with an interesting take on the city's 'coat of arms'.

The title - Birmingham - is in red next to the shield of the coat of arms and runs across the lower edge. The text "the city of a thousand trades" iis ranged along the upper and right edge. The page is dominated by a shadowy blacksmith against a cog wheel, symbolising heavy industry, on a yellow/orange/red background that constrasts with the city skyline - the silhoutee includes the Town Hall, City Chambers and University Clock Tower.

@theironroom.bsky.social The City of a Thousand Trades - hints of Soviet realism on the cover of this c.1935 booklet issued by the Corporation of Birmingham. What could be more appropriate for your #CityOf1000Trades #birmingham #1930s #graphicdesign

I was recommended this channel's YouTube videos a few times. I didn't watch any because they seemed to be hyperdiffusionist nonsense. But I think this thumbnail gives the game away - what's that symbol in the clay square eh? Yet again alternative archaeology is used as a gateway to the far right

If speeding and using a mobile phone while driving are both crimes, then pretty much every driver IS a criminal. We also need to tackle the ideology that has led to so many terrorist attacks by drivers such as in Liverpool and the ULEZ camera bombing and the routine threats of violence from them
