If respect is the goal, why are we debating where trans people can exist As Bridget Phillipson weighs new ‘single-sex space’ guidance, the debate reduces trans lives to a policy dilemma. This is an evasion of moral responsibility, writes columnist Aimee Walsh

If respect is the goal, why are we debating where trans people can exist?

As Labour's Bridget Phillipson weighs new ‘single-sex space’ guidance, the debate reduces trans lives to a policy dilemma. In my column, I argue this is an evasion of moral responsibility.

"The music pulsates with promises made and withdrawn: CMAT pricks the economic bubble and its devastating aftermath... But there is a call-to-action too. “I know it can be better if we hound it,” she sings."

The Irish the world over feel that lyric in their souls.
