A lone egret stands alone in a city lake amid late autumn leaves and some litter.

The lone egret flying over to the sunny and populated area of the lake spreads its wings to land near wigeons and gulls

The lone egret standing among other water fowl. Dozens of wigeons and gulls stand in groups trying to soak up some mottled sunlight and warmth.

On my most recent visit to the lake the lone egret standing on one leg napping during the first warm day of the new year.
