Another dry morning before several days of forecast rain. Here in North Devon we've not been affected by the heavy rain so much. Cornwall had 267.6mm of rain. Making it, it's wettest January on record.

Some tribulations here and there, but she seems to have come out the other end.

Indoors over winter, most of my succulents go outside spring to autumn for the extra light.

The Nepenthes maxima x alata that I got last summer is growing really well and making bigger and bigger pitchers, despite the short winter days. Just an all-round good hybrid.

Based on its vigor, I suspect the “alata” parent was actually the species now called N. graciliflora. 🌴 🌱

A mature euphoria polygona "snowflake." There are multiple stems with numerous ridges, thorns and a waxy white coating (farina). The older stems have corking near the soil. The dark green color can be seen where the farina has fallen off. Its shape and thorns mimic a cactus.
