No but I'll put it on the list. Thanks! Vermeer's hat by Timothy Brook is another interesting one about his time.

In Delft if you don't learn how to parallel park really well your car goes into the canal. Maybe this is why everyone cycles instead. πŸ˜‚

Yes it is. Still don't know what I think if the book but I do think of it often.

I didn't get a selfie with the girl with the pearl earring lovely as she is. But I did get one with Vase of flowers by Rachel Ruysch. Love her paintings, so many details in this one.

Was there this morning. Fantastic.

I also got to see The Goldfinch by Fabritius and the exhibition Birds that it's part of was really great. It's a little gem of a painting. There were pieces by Rembrandt, Picasso, Matisse, DaVinci, Emin and Iris Van Herpen (fashion nerds will know her).

If you don't get a photo of a pretty bike locked to a railing beside a canal did you really go to The Hague.

There was another man there for ages while I was there and I think we were both having an intense experience. The light in that painting. Absolute masterpiece.

The Mauritshuis in The Hague is small but mighty. I've now seen Vermeer's View of Delft and will never recover.

The birds, though I wore your glacial patience
To a smudge of bitter dust
On the last day you embraced me
With a glistening sapling trust

Did they sing a million blessings
As they watched us slowly part?
Do they keep those final kisses
In their tiny racing hearts

It's undermining real forecasting done by people trained and qualified in it.

Snow is extremely difficult to forecast in Ireland. Be wary of these Facebook pages run by people with no weather forecasting qualifications.
