Oh I agree. It's clearly a continuation of the 60s popsploitation films, made by people riding the coattails of whatever was popular at the time for a quick buck.Back then there weren't any UK 'punk' films that my and my mates knew of, this and Quadrophenia (punk in attitude at leaat) were about it.

I remember liking it very much as an embryonic punk kid when I first saw it, but I saw it again fairly recently and it really doesn't hold up. Eighth Day is still a guilty pleasure though

A sad day. We will not see his like again.

I watched my first film of 2025 the other night, Queen of The Damned with Aaliyah. The atrocious nu-metal Anne Rice adaptation. Worst film I've ever seen. I knew that going in. But I didn't know that Rowland S Howard had a blink and you'd miss it cameo. It brought a tear to my eye.

If the band ever plays in your neck of the woods, go see 'em - it's a no-brainer!

I had a go at Deadbeat Descendant, partly because it's a banging tune and partly as the lyrics are easy to remember!
