I want to thank Caterpillar, Jay, Mike, Nate, Kiwi, George, Ariel and Tony for their incredible work on Peaceful. This project would be nothing without them. Go follow all of them on their socials!!!

Caterpillar, showed it to my Mom (she always gets first screening of my videos) and prepared to make some last minute adjustments and fixes before being uploaded to YouTube.

Next day, December 7th, the video went live.

The reception was more than beyond what I was expecting. Caterpillar and I-

Peaceful Viaduct. However, once the first cut of the video was finished and I saw how much Caterpillar enjoyed it, it helped gain some hope back for me. It made me realize that I was drastically overthinking everything. Eventually, on December 6th, the video was finally completed. I sent to-

saying "you're your own worst critic"? That's how I was feeling. I had never done anything like this before and I was terrified of how the final product would turn out. On top of that, college finals were coming up and things were not going well at work, leading to more stress and anxiety regarding-

I'd be able to get Peaceful Viaduct done in time for Halloween, but I just wasn't possible. Then I wanted to get out by November, but that didn't workout either! Editing also took longer than expected. At this time, I remember I began having a lot of self doubt about the project. You know the-

I did original have TVS models in mind, but the Hybrid models provided a nice mix of the TVS style and realism that fit the tone of the story. Filming began in September and wrapped in Early November. Progress was slowly than I wanted because of my job and college taking up much of my time. I was-

and I'm so, so, so thankful for all of them.

There isn't much to say about filming tbh. I guess what you'd call pre-production was mainly me "building" (editing) some of the sets for construction, namely the Viaduct itself. The choice was made later on to use the Hybrid models by Sudrian and Kiwi.

be okay. He's on their side, even if he doesn't quite know what's going on himself. Tony captured exactly what Topham was meant to be in this story.

It's only in hindsight that I'm able to find the words to fully describe how wonderful this cast was. They all helped truly bring this script to life-

simultaneously deep, commanding, calming and reassuring all at the same time, which perfectly fits his role in the story. He's meant to help ground the characters back down to reality after the trauma they've just experienced. Without directly saying so, he's telling them that everything is gonna-

Ariel was able to convey that perfectly, even with my shotty voice direction!

The final cast member brought on was Tony for Sir Topham Hatt. Even if Topham was a minor character in the grand scheme of the story, I wanted his appearance to be memorable and impactful. Tony's voice for him is-

All I asked was them to tone down the gruffness of the Foreman's voice to deliver a more natural performance. Ariel, once again, delivered 👏👏. I love how authentic the Foreman sounds. He's so sick of shit going wrong and new problems arising while also not being heartless or unlikeable.

He's not just grumpy for the sake of it. He's easily irritated but does ultimately mean well. He's just tired from having to manage restoring an old railway in which one thing goes wrong after another. I came back to Ariel asking them to redo the lines (which I felt pretty guilty about).

I realized that I wanted the Foreman to sound different. Instead of him being kinda cartoon-ishly grumpy, I needed him to sound more realistic. This was no fault to Ariel at all, it was my fault for giving poor voice direction! It made me look at the Foreman with a different perspective.

Mike and George. The Foreman was surprisingly difficult to cast at first! At first I wanted him to be a typical, gruff and grumpy type of construction worker. I told Ariel that's what I wanted and they delivered. It was exactly what I wanted...at first. While editing all the dialogue together-

His narration was like a hybrid mix of George Carlin (my suggestion) and Mr. Creepypasta. George pulled it off excellently. There's the right level of seriousness and gentleness to his performance that I think worked extremely well for Peaceful Viaduct.

Ariel was the next person I asked after-

While George and I were talking about whay direction to give the narrator, he suggested the idea of going for a style reminsent of different creepypasta narrators on YouTube. I, realizing George and myself were on the exact same wave length, immediately said yes to his suggestion.

couple days for me to think on it (this was before I contacted Mike as well). After a while, I decided to try to go for someone who not only had experience in Thomas, but had experience narrating or playing characters in horror stories. George was the first person to come to mind. I asked him, he-

In complete contrast to the Lone Workman, I had no idea who I wanted for the narrator. It actually took a-

together. His delivery made me so emotional, and I thought I'd become pretty desensitized after I finished writing the script. I remember after editing the final scene in the video and just sitting back listening to him talk with Jay. I didn't hear Mike. I didn't hear Jay. Instead, I heard a real,-

writing stories in the Fandom for years. I've literally been hearing his voice in fan videos since I was a child. Finding out that he regular watched and ENJOYED my videos blew my mind. Needless to say, I was so happy he agreed to be in Peaceful Viaduct. His performance really brought everything-
