The most important part

It's really nice picking up on new details so long after after I initially watched it.

That's exactly how I envision their dynamic, it's perfect

Never particularly thought about Saber being there to teach a moral but now that you mention it, yeah it makes a lot of sense. Each route does look at her from a different perspective.

Even more so isn't Saber alter ultimately just Saber's wish to save Camelot at any cost taken to the extreme? That she's willing to do it at the cost of well, anything.

True, Artoria killing Sakura would've saved endless lives, a good deed from a wider perspective and something she would've done without a second thought - but from an individual perspective it would've meant killing an innocent person.

Never considered that particular contrast before. It's horrifying how some servants are there as protectors who want to better the world meanwhile others are there merely to do a job at all costs.
