That's a failure of leadership. Healthy democracy needs clear and decisive advocacy - otherwise the status quo persists. In its absence extremism develops. See immigration policy, fiscal policy, defence, etc.

Thanks. I don't know if I'm an outlier but I only started taking regular dividends many years after starting my business. The most important thing seemed to be survival and tax policy didn't really feature in my thinking.

The local football clubs need coaches and lines-folk and referees, The allotments need looked after, the local parks need planted, And if you don't want to help with anything above, Just admit you do not give a sh*t, and shut the f*ck up.
