STP forever underrated and never got the respect they deserved for reasons that seem downright silly today.
29.12.2025 23:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Apple TV is the new HBO. If youβre middle aged thatβs where the quality content is. Netflix feels like a content trash bin thatβs always got something for your eyeballs but itβs rarely good with few exceptions per year. The merger is bad news IMO, I hope for a lot of reasons it doesnβt go through.
06.12.2025 16:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 02010-2014 for me. New city, new beginnings. Bought our first house, got married. Job situations improved. Was still young and carefree, movies were directed right at my age cohort as was the local concert schedule. Pre kids, minimal responsibilities outside or normal grownups with jobs stuff.
06.08.2025 19:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβve been saying for a long time now if youβre a middle aged lover of HBO style prestige TV then Apple TV consistently has your number.
01.07.2025 12:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Tim Ryan was a good example of this. He lost by less in rural areas but ultimately lost. Which leads lefties to say see moderation doesnβt work but thereβs also cynicism amongst those groups that suppresses turnout in those urban areas where they need to win big bc the candidate wasnβt pure enough
13.05.2025 23:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Queue the SNL Big Dumb Line sketch!
02.05.2025 22:21 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah but we canβt survive as a nation of amnesiacs. Maybe they were too young to remember Trump 1.0 but society at large should have done a better job of making sure they knew the predictable toxicity of it all.
11.04.2025 16:59 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think the policy is 20 years too late. The small towns and industries are already hollowed out by Wal-Mart culture and cheap goods. For better and worse everyone has adjusted to a new reality. It might have made sense when we were trying to save those things, but the ship has very much sailed.
11.04.2025 15:19 β π 10 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Honest question for regular folks with 401Kβs and investment accounts, do we bail? Take the hit and stash it somewhere else until the storm is over? Iβm not smart enough to know.
09.04.2025 23:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0While a modest concern overall, I never understood why anyone would vote to have to pay THIS MUCH attention to the news every single day. Spoken as a lifelong news/politics junkie. Itβs oppressive
09.04.2025 18:13 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Claiming the Millennial side of my dual Gen X/Millennial status on this one
09.04.2025 15:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A lot of illusions about how things work have been shattered in my lifetime but I still truly believed than if someone tanked the economy on purpose there were powerful ppl with levers to pull who would not stand for it. Another pretty wild emperor (s) have no clothes moment
07.04.2025 15:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Trumpβs main appeal always seemed to be the economy, not sure how low marks here donβt drag him lower overall.
12.03.2025 11:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0BRB going to buy a hot dog
07.03.2025 15:46 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think some ppl are saying it because they want reassurance and for someone to refute them over and over again. I donβt do that, but I understand the sentiment. The rest are trolls, block away.
05.03.2025 17:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I agree, would probably like to see him run as Gov (donβt ask me why) but he or Tim Ryan would be my picks to try again for either office.
04.03.2025 18:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That would be aβ¦slam dunk. Iβll show myself out.
04.03.2025 18:05 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The bench in OH is pretty bleak. I could tell you who I think might have a shot at Senate or Governor but Iβd prefer to hear thoughts from outsiders first.
04.03.2025 17:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What are they gonna do, crash the economy on purpose and Build Back Better? If weβre in a hole to start 26 Iβm not sure slowly climbing out of it will matter much. Esp with such cruelty around how we got there.
04.03.2025 16:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Past crises always seem manageable in hindsight when you know the ending and that it turned out βokβ. Covid felt never ending but now seems relatively short. Thatβs dumbing things down and the effects are still being felt but it always feels different once you reach shore on the other side.
01.03.2025 16:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Shit never glues back together the same.
28.02.2025 04:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Pretty wild it lasted *a* month if you ask me.
28.02.2025 02:14 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβve cancelled my sub for the last time and am deleting the app. Whatever the future looks like, Iβm not interested in this. Someone else can have my dollars.
27.02.2025 02:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Would concur there. I normally consider it a bit of a lull but this year was way better. Hockey rules.
24.02.2025 00:29 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Agreed, but even that has the All Star (4 Nations this year) break
24.02.2025 00:24 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The front page of The Onion newspaper from July 20, 1969, that reads "HOLY SHIT, MAN WALKS ON FUCKING MOON"

20.07.2024 16:46 β π 2482 π 559 π¬ 45 π 41Apple TV+ is the new HBO. Itβs the only thing currently going that approximates the Peak TV era, enjoy.
23.02.2025 05:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Apply it to any βnormalβ non rich person, you werenβt there for the birth of your child? Youβre instantly deplorable. Even rich famous ppl miss big games, cancel tours etc to be there for the birth of their children.
22.02.2025 14:12 β π 27 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I wish I could cancel my subscription to them again.
