Students today are being robbed of the joy of writing unhinged college essays and finding it 10 years later and thinking it actually slaps

Itโ€™s never too late for a goth phase. Iโ€™m personally in one right now and refuse to apologize.

I decided to give my nephew some crypto for his birthday to teach him financial responsibility. He asked โ€œwhat can I buy with this?โ€ To which I had to reply โ€œnothing.โ€

I am also very proud of the Land Acknowledgement I put in my code of conduct.

I recently wrote a new causal network discovery Python library.
My library has 100% unit and integration test coverage.
Leave me a โญ on GitHub and I will forever be in your debt.

I canโ€™t email people python programs or word documents anymore. It seriously hinders collaboration. But also, how much money is this useless advice costing?

I love the banner *warning: this is coming from outside the university*.

Like yeah, itโ€™s called email. Cybersecurity grifters and the corporate consulting industry selling people on industry based performance monitoring is a waste of resources and does not translate to academic settings.

The weirdest thing to come out of this last week were the people bailing from Bluesky for Twitter. Like ah yes, Twitter; the paragon of decorum.

I think we can all have a little ultrafinitism as a treat. I meant more that he wrote a book arguing for the surreal numbers being the platonic ideal form for numbers themselves. Obviously, thatโ€™s a little silly.

Yeah, itโ€™s super cool. Iโ€™m no expert in it or anything. I just know one of the key results is that the solutions of linear homogeneous ODE can be written in terms of analytic functions boils down to the solvability of a differential Galois groups.

I was just talking about this. There are some cool results from differential Galois theory that tell you when it is computable. One of my favorite subjects
