Construction of the Line 5 oil pipeline is beginning in so called Northern Wisconsin. Come to this teach-in to learn more about Line 5 and how to help support resistance efforts. We'll also be raising funds for a mobile kitchen for the frontlines and other projects.

Quick update on what we just saw here—*before curfew*, ISP troopers, Broadview PD and CCSO deputies began menacing demonstrators outside the ICE facility. Several arrests.

Pepper ball guns at the ready, a bit of a standoff going with remaining protesters. All people are doing is playing music.

After ordering people out of the street, ISP cleared the entire “free speech” zone into the street before “curfew.”

State police just started pushing people off the business park corner. Here in the road, a brave group of demonstrators are attempting to hold their line.

Illinois State Police issue a final warning to disperse from in front of the Broadview ICE facility, a full 20 minutes before the protest curfew time.

A small number of demonstrators attempted to protest/march in the street.

Massive number of ISP troopers in riot gear responded by blocking 25th, threatening arrest, shouting into megaphone about an unlawful assembly.

Tonight, in Broadview — a suburb outside of Chicago where Illinois state troopers are doing crowd control near the ICE detention center.

when 2 ICE agents come to abduct our neighbors, Chicagoans can band together and force them to flee. This is deeply embarrassing for ICE/CBP and Greg Bovino and shows how much Trump's war on Chicago relies on their numbers and the willingness of people to look the other way.

Based on the latest reporting about the Border Patrol shooting in Brighton Park this morning:

A Chicago woman was shot by CBP and is in fair condition.

DHS claims CBP vehicles were rammed & boxed in. Other parties involved say CBP’s vehicle hit a car, possibly crashing that car into another.

At the Broadview, IL ICE detention center—

IL state troopers are already pushing non-violent demonstrators out of the street and away from the ICE facility. One arrest so far.
