09.02.2026 01:58 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0does kid rock's thing have this many butts in it
09.02.2026 01:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Or SNAKEWOMAN.
09.02.2026 01:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 01. Max Cherry
2. Jules
3. Shosanna
4. Archie Hickox
5. Cliff Booth/Budd
not really ranked tbh
I realize that.
09.02.2026 00:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well... I don't know what to tell you.
09.02.2026 00:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah, during the Super Bowl.
09.02.2026 00:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Considering it's Fincher, I naturally assumed that movie would never get made.
09.02.2026 00:15 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I choose to believe.
09.02.2026 00:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm not complaining, but apart from "aliens" and "conspiracy," I'm having a hard time getting a lock on what I might reasonably expect from DISCLOSURE DAY. It's giving off a wide variety of vibes.
08.02.2026 23:41 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 3 π 0this national anthem is going to last eight minutes isn't it
08.02.2026 23:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0that almost doesn't seem worth it
08.02.2026 22:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0sounds like we'd better get to work
08.02.2026 22:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0how much do you think it would cost to get them to just start the game now
08.02.2026 22:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I'm reminded, with a certain bleak humour in the aptness, that the heroine of Tavernier's Death Watch made her living having her computer write romance novels.
08.02.2026 17:05 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0The look young Peggy gives him when she sees the $50 note (or maybe itβs a $100, icr), if that was me Iβd be so ashamed I would go into the hills and stay there until god talked to me. And his awful Christmas outfit lol
08.02.2026 14:16 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah, he says something like "He was a good guy, Jimmy. We liked him, and his family. He had a nice family."
08.02.2026 11:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0And that's what I liked about it. It personalized the Big Giant Tragedy, without romanticizing anything. Mind you, I do think THE BIRTHDAY BOYS is better.
08.02.2026 11:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0One reason I particularly liked EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF was because I've never read another novel about such a major historical event that so narrowed its focus on a couple of historical nobodies who, if I recall correctly, aren't even particularly likable.
08.02.2026 11:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The little moments of guilt -- or more accurately, shame -- that come through in Pesci's performance...
08.02.2026 10:13 β π 11 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0If the Oscar for casting existed in 2019 then Ellen Lewis should have won for these two alone.
08.02.2026 10:05 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah, the final irony is that Paquin is really good in it.
08.02.2026 09:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I also love how Peggy, the character Anna Paquin played as an adult and Scorsese got yelled at for not giving more lines to, is so much the moral center of this film that even Russell Bufalino, one of the worst people in the movie, knows it. "It's okay, she said thank you once, that's enough."
08.02.2026 08:50 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 2 π 2"I feel like she doesn't like me, like I feel like she's scared of me."
"Oh, it ain't that, she's scared of *me* sometimes."
Like who could even imagine something so silly!
And Ray Romano is so perfect that people don't even know how good he is here.
08.02.2026 08:24 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Can't sleep, sour mood, might as well watch THE IRISHMAN again. I've had a hard time locking into movies, any movie, lately, but I fell right into this one again. The part of this that's about two old men on a long road trip to kill a guy is so good. The tone of it is beautifully judged.
08.02.2026 08:04 β π 19 π 0 π¬ 2 π 3That song is *amazing*. I know it's such an obvious thing to say, but we do take it for granted at this point.
07.02.2026 20:51 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0*cartoonish. Autocorrect, I despise you.
07.02.2026 20:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Listened to a lot of Stones today while we were out and about. It's somehow easy to forget, given how cartoonist the band has become, how truly great a lot of those songs are great as *songs*, with some incredible lyrics, not simply "cool rock tunes" as the kids say.
07.02.2026 20:41 β π 13 π 1 π¬ 4 π 0I've already read DAVID COPPERFIELD, so that's handy.
