Hello! Iโm the reporter who has been tracking citizens detained by immigration agents. And last night, I noticed something: A lot of them were at the State of the Union, including a number of whom Iโve written about.
Their stories should be known:

The thing about elected Democrats attending the State of the Union is that Donald Trump used social media to call for the execution of elected Democrats mere months ago, like, if you're calling for my execution, I'm not attending your lie-filled speech. That's the only way to project dignity here.

The Most Dangerous Corporation in America?
Billions of your tax dollars are going to Palantir โ and the police state it's helping Trump build could soon be used against you.

The last time Trump was at 60% was after his Jan. 6, 2021, violent coup attempt.
*Yes, it is appalling 39% approve. Without them, there is no him. THEY are the problem.

At least half a dozen top Trump administration officials appear in the Jeffrey Epstein files
The degree to which each individual was connected to Epstein varies significantly, from a single email to years of communications.
The President, two of his current Cabinet secretaries, his former strategist, his biggest donor, and his pending Fed Chair nominee are all in the files of a pedophile who ran a sex trafficking ring, while the attorney general and a former Cabinet secretary let him get away with it.
Seems kinda bad?

Is Trump *really* going to announce a crank theory, pushed by former crack addict and pillow salesman Mike Lindell, that since the writing of the Constitution, almost 2 & 1/2 centuries ago, all of America's constitutional scholars have failed to notice a line of text in the document?

The DOJ appears to have surveilled members of Congress who were looking through unredacted pages in the Epstein files and provided that information to Pam Bondi for her hearing before the House Judiciary Committee.

Two-page image of a formal letter on U.S. House of Representatives letterhead, dated February 8, 2026, addressed to Chairman James Comer of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. The letter states that Ghislaine Maxwell plans to invoke her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination at an upcoming House Oversight deposition and criticizes her intent to do so on a blanket basis rather than question by question. It notes her prior meeting with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and requests clarity on whether she will invoke the Fifth Amendment in response to specific questions.
Page one lists six detailed questions concerning alleged co-conspirators in Jeffrey Epsteinโs abuse of minors, the lack of indictments, Maxwellโs knowledge of prosecutorial decisions, any role involving President Donald Trump, discussions of a potential presidential pardon in exchange for silence, and any client lists or records maintained by Maxwell or Epstein.
Page two adds a seventh question asking Maxwell to identify any foreign governments or intelligence services, including those linked to Russia or Israel, with which Epstein allegedly shared information or acted on behalf of. The letter asks that this document be entered into the official record at the start of the deposition and closes with a formal sign-off and signature from Congressman Ro Khanna, Member of Congress, U.S. House of Representatives.
NEW: Ghislaine Maxwell is set to invoke her Fifth Amendment rights and refuse to answer all questions related to Epstein, Trump, and more during tomorrowโs deposition. Rep. Ro Khanna has sent the following letter to Oversight Committee Chair James Comer in response:

What Democrats need to know to truly reform ICE
I'm an expert, and the misconduct and corruption is far deeper than even their deadly surges have shown.
America cannot survive as a free society if ICE and CBP continue to operate as they have over the last yearโlet alone as both agencies are turbocharged and empowered with even more funding, more officers, more guns, and more arrests.

Federal agents cornered Marimar Martinez, shot her several times, boasted about it, arrested her, lied about her to the public and in the police report, and falsely charged her with assaulting them.
Now the government wants to keep evidence of their lies secret to protect these agents' "privacy."

In a Minneapolis federal court where 16 protesters were charged on Wednesday with assaulting immigration agents, Judge Dulce J. Foster said she was โdeeply disturbedโ that Attorney General Pam Bondi had published photographs of some of the defendants on social media.
Judge Foster said images of people who are presumed innocent should not be shared. โThis conduct is not something that the court condones,โ she said.
The charges against protestors announced today by Bondi were very clearly done with producing #content as the first priority and law enforcement a distant second. The decision to wave mugshots around is already harming DOJ's credibility in court www.nytimes.com/2026/01/28/u...

The amount of money the US government spent on troops in DC in 2025 ($223m) would have been enough to give the city's ~5,100 homeless residents each $43,000. Instead, federal troops destroyed their meager encampments.

Alex Prettiโs ICE murder is beyond politics. This is about good vs. evil | Will Bunch
Trump's inhumane immigration raids and two ICE murders has triggered an American yearning for a return to morality.
The senseless murder of Alex Pretti is finally showing everyday folks that the Trump regime is beyond any redemption. And in an anti-religious age, it's sparked a quest for a new American morality
It's beyond politics now. This is about good vs. evil
